Grasshopper chair designed by Eero Saarinen in 1946 for Knoll.
Its frame in bent beech plywood creates a continuous line that forms the legs, armrests, and seat support. The deep seat and sloping back offer exceptional comfort, while the flowing curves and elegant proportions foreshadow the organic design explorations that would make Eero Saarinen famous.
Fully reupholstered in olive green fabric, this model is considered one of the designer's first major creations for Knoll and is an icon of postwar American design.
