The two glass doors are framed with beaded gilt-bronze moldings and flanked by round columns with chased gilt-bronze Corinthian capitals. The upper frieze is adorned with a centrally positioned imperial eagle with outstretched wings, accompanied by scrolling foliage and classical female figures at the corners of the cornice. The plinth features a gilt-bronze laurel wreath; the openwork bronze keyhole escutcheons complete the bronze decoration. The natural oak interior houses four adjustable shelves, each 29.5 cm deep, in impeccable condition. The piece has been fully restored using traditional French polishing.
