Bring timeless elegance to your home with this striking pair of Chinese porcelain table lamps, converted from traditional porcelain wig stands. Each hexagonal porcelain body is beautifully hand-painted in the classic famille rose palette with colorful peonies, flowering branches, birds, butterflies, and delicate decorative borders. Resting on carved hardwood bases with matching wood caps, the lamps retain a wonderful sense of age and craftsmanship while offering updated functionality with replacement sockets for everyday use.
The porcelain is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The carved wood bases and caps have developed a warm, rich patina over time. The sockets appear to have been replaced at some point, providing standard U.S. wiring with convenient socket turn switches. There is some dust visible inside the porcelain wig stands, consistent with age and difficult to access. Shades are not included.
