Marvelous vintage MCM (a.k.a.) Mid-Century Modern set of 6 cordial stemmed shots and matching tray composed of brass and abalone inlay from Taxco, Mexico. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, a section of Mother of Pearl was replaced on the cup of one cordial. Only cleaned with soap and water to retain its beautiful vintage patina. LOL… This is a GORGEOUS bar or tableware set including six stemmed cordials or shot cups and a matching serving tray intricately handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico. The six cordials are composed of beautiful brass bases, stems, and cups bearing a stunning decorative iridescent genuine Abalone shell inlay surrounding the cup leaving a thin strip of brass rim exposed. The matching tray bears a handsome brass rounded rectangular surface surrounded by the same fabulous decorative genuine Abalone shell inlay. If you’re unfamiliar with Abalone, it is a large type of mollusk or sea snail recognized as an ultra-luxury DELICIOUS seafood delicacy (for those who enjoy eating slimy snails… that is!! LOL!!!) AND… in this case… for its striking iridescent shell. They will be EXQUISITE displayed in your China cabinet or display hutch, on the counter of your dry bar, or on a buffet in your dining area. Folks… fantastic bar pieces like this are hard to come by… beautifully handcrafted, highly collectible, and they bear a marvelous Mid Century Modern aesthetic you will be sure to admire for years to come.
