Truly fascinating object. Brass and glass with dial decorated with burin.
Working. Good conditions. Some small marks on the glass as visible in the photo.
Base is from the period but joined later.
Giuseppe Stefani, b. ? - d.1842. He was an instrument maker and the mechanic of the Specola in Padua from 1834 to 1842. This piece has an attribution mark,
