This hand-pulled woodcut, titled "Life Dance," is a signed Artist's Proof (A/P) by Theodore L. Reller Jr., dated 1976. The composition features five stylized, totemic figures rendered in a rhythmic, hand-holding arrangement, executed in a bold horizontal panoramic format with striking "X-ray" style interior detailing characteristic of mid-century relief printmaking.
As an Artist's Proof, this print was pulled outside the formal numbered edition and was part of the artist's personal working proofs.
Curated from the private collection of enamel artist Eve Paige Spencer, whose work is held in the permanent collection of the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery at Scripps College, California, and her husband, writer and art collector Donner Spencer. This piece has remained within the family for decades.

The woodcut itself has been professionally inspected out of the frame and is remarkably well-preserved on thin, professional-grade paper. The original 1970s frame exhibits minor, age-appropriate wear to the gilt finish, adding to its authentic mid-century character. The matting shows very slight toning at the bevel, common for its age. To preserve the crispness of the bold black ink, it is highly recommended to display this vintage work out of direct sunlight.
