Carefully hand-decorated ceramic vase, perfect for dried flowers or on its own without anything.
in the creation of “raw” series of pieces i was more interested in sculptural aspects than a functional part. The shape is a key. That’s why i have excluded a colorful glaze here and tried to highlight natural texture of the material. I was curious to combine a few types of clay. Coarse, grey stoneware and ultramarine porcelain perfectly demonstrate one of the main tasks in the creation of my pieces. It shows a contrast between shape, colour and material. I have applied just a hand-built technique, it has allowed me to improvise.
each piece is intended as a sculpture object where the border between art, craftsmanship and design disappears. I was inspired by human being and living creatures. That why artworks “raw” arouse associations with bionic shapes, knuckles, parts of body and living tissue. Lack of surfaces perfection indicatives of our real life and fragility.
