Unlike the more common faceted geometric Mandruzzato designs, this rare model combines deeply polished optical facets with heavily textured sculptural sides, creating a remarkable contrast between smooth crystalline surfaces and the textures of organic molten glass.

The vase is made in the traditional Sommerso technique, with a pronounced ruby ​​red inner core surrounded by warm amber, pale blue and thick clear crystal. The massive hand-polished construction creates exceptional optical depth, which changes dramatically as the viewing angle and light change. Illuminated with a UV lamp, it fluoresces green (last two images)
