all the uprights, cornices, and central fluted columns are embellished with brass stringing and moldings. The two glazed doors feature slightly domed upper arches, typical of the late 18th to early 19th century. The period lock is functional and comes with its original key; an interior multi-bolt lock is also present. The untreated fir interior reveals three shelves and a solid plank back, attesting to its authentic antique construction. The piece rests on bracket feet, characteristic of the transition/louis xvi style, with a molded base and brass stringing. The piece shows consistent period wear: occasional veneer flaking, oxidation of the brass, and scratches on the back, without any major structural damage. Some cosmetic restoration is recommended.
