Truly an amazing find! Intricately handpainted Limoges cabinet plate in a background with a cobalt band encrusted with a simple yet elegant design of roses and swags in a raised gold pattern. The outer rims are also encased with gold. Good condition to the painting and plate with a loss to underside base rim as depicted in photos. A beautifully depicted scene of a maiden in period clothing surrounded by nature. This particular plate is not signed but the artist is L Jean.
