Late 19th to early 20th century, with the muted, oxidized natural dyes only real age produces.

Colors have mellowed to camel, sage green, dusty rose, faded mauve and madder, ivory, and soft blue — the exact "collected antique" look designers layer today. Lovely as a low-traffic floor rug, a layering piece, or hung as a textile in a living room, bedroom, studio, or gallery wall. Suits bohemian, eclectic, faded-antique, and old-world interiors.
