A beautifully crafted, classic teak desk designed by the Danish master Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik in Denmark.
Mogensen is considered one of Denmark’s most influential furniture designers. His philosophy was to create furniture of the highest possible quality, functionality, and durability, without unnecessary details. The result was furniture with a timeless aesthetic that feels just as relevant today as when it was first designed. That is precisely why Børge Mogensen’s furniture remains highly sought after worldwide.
The desk is crafted from teak with a warm luster and stunning grain across its generous work surface. The clean design, combined with the softly rounded corners and the characteristic, integrated handles, gives the desk an elegant and harmonious look.
The storage is well thought out, with a total of five drawers. On the left side are two larger drawers, the top one of which is equipped with a lock and key—perfect for documents or other valuables. On the right side are three practical drawers that provide plenty of space for office supplies and other items. The desk has a generous 60 cm clearance, which easily accommodates most chairs and provides ample legroom for a comfortable workspace.
The desk is also freestanding and features a back that is just as well-crafted as the front, making it ideal for placing in the center of a room.
