Designed circa 1919 by the master of french art glass himself, this bottle was originally created as a key element of the iconic fleurette bathroom and vanity set.
this piece is of particular historical interest to collectors: it was manufactured in lalique's early glassworks—most likely located in combs-la-ville—just before the overwhelming commercial success forced him to open his larger-scale, world-famous manufacture in wingen-sur-moder.
the bottle captures the delicate aesthetic transition of the post-wwi era, featuring the charming, stylized floral reliefs characteristic of the design. The underside of the base is signed in the mold with the rare and highly sought-after early "long-tail-l" lalique signature.
