This heavy bowl, made of solid, transparent Murano glass, weighs 1.3 kg.
The parallel grooves on the underside create a striking optical stripe effect through the refraction of light in the glass, giving the object a unique sense of depth. Originally likely designed as an ashtray, the bowl also serves as a decorative serving tray.
The original incised signature "Carlo Moretti" is located on the side.
The bowl is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks. Only minor, age-related surface scratches and two small flea bites on the underside are present.
