L. Varro & Muller frères
A French 1925-1935 art deco lamp in wrought iron and pressed glass. It is made by L. Varro. A Paris based blacksmith during the interbellum about who I found no additional information. The forged base decorated with ivy leaves is stamped FABRICANT L. VARRO PARIS on the back. It holds a shade in clear frosted molded-pressed glass by Muller frères the famous glass factory in Luneville near Nancy France. The shade is signed Muller freres Luneville near the top opening. And it is represented in the old Muller product catalog.
The lamp has a height of 13,78 inches (35 cm). And the base has a diameter of 4,7 inches (12 cm). The lamp is in very good condition. It is rewired with new cloth covered twisted cord. An American candelabra base socket and US 2-prong plug.
