Decorative and humorous tureen shaped as a fish with lid and matching ladle. Hand-painted in vivid tones of red, green, and grey, with finely modelled details in the fins and scales. A characterful and rare serving piece combining function with sculptural presence. Origin: portugal. Material: hand-painted ceramic. Dimensions: h. 18 cm, w. 24 cm, l. 42 cm. Period: mid-20th century. Condition: excellent condition with minor signs of wear. Portuguese ceramics and faience are known for their colourful and imaginative designs, often inspired by the sea and natural motifs.
