The planks of the … Read more This modest console table, or server, is hand-crafted of solid oak dating to circa 1870 France. The planks of the top exhibit a natural glow within the convoluted grain, having developed a rich patina from time & use adding to the organic qualities. A small, shallow drawer sits in the middle of the apron that has been cleaned and waxed to glide easily, opened by a turned wood knob. The whole is supported by thick, tapering square legs without bottom stretchers to use this table for a number of different rooms and functions. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to preserve all the historic character. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
