Impressive oversized Chinese red lacquer papier-mâché floor vase with matching carved stand. Beautifully hand-painted with traditional Chinese motifs, including dragons, cranes, floral designs, and auspicious symbols. Rich crackled lacquer finish with hand-painted gilt details throughout.
Family owned and believed to date to the Qing era. The vase shows age appropriate wear, craquelure, surface losses, and repairs consistent with its age, adding to its authentic character.
