A striking large antique National Biscuit Company (NBC) UNEEDA hinged advertising tin featuring a beautifully lithographed floral bouquet framed by geometric borders in olive green, black, cream, and gold.
The underside bears the original "NBC Trade Mark Uneeda" mark, identifying this as an authentic National Biscuit Company biscuit tin from the early twentieth century. Measuring approximately 11 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 2.2 inches high, this generously proportioned example is larger than many Uneeda tins encountered today, giving it exceptional display presence.
Originally created to package Uneeda biscuits, tins like this were often repurposed in the home for recipes, sewing supplies, letters, photographs, and treasured keepsakes. Today it stands as a wonderful piece of early American advertising and decorative metalwork, equally at home in an Americana, farmhouse, English Country, or traditional interior.
