This Louis XV Style Biblioteque was purchased in France in 1910 and has been in the same family ever since. It features walnut construction containing three heavily surface carved panel doors; center door contains beveled glass inset on top two-thirds, with lower surface-carved panel of scrollwork, acanthus, with floral design motifs; separate lock and key escutcheon; with door opening to reveal four shelved interior; twin side doors, surface carved with double panels, shell and scrollwork design; each affixed with lock and key escutcheon and opening to reveal four shelved interior; shell and scrollwork carvings in upper and lower aprons; supported on two heavily scrolled voluted front feet with cornice molded top. It comes with the original key and is in excellent condition. Appraised at $10,000
