Retaining both original Toyo Japan and “Alcohol & Stainproof Lacquer Ware – Made in Japan” labels, this lamp exemplifies the refined Japanese modern aesthetic of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The sculptural bent lacquer base creates a floating appearance while the adjustable brass stem allows the shade height to be customized for reading or ambient lighting. The original tapered fabric shade complements the clean architectural silhouette.
