Highly collectible original Steven Sorman (American 1948-Present) mixed media collage from 1979. Sormon has had numerous solo exhibits throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. He's won countless awards and has pieces in collections and commissions throughout the world. Sormon is known for pieces that create rhythm with the layering of shapes, lines and materials creating movement and excitement. This piece does not disappoint with layers of red paper, gold leaf and paint in geometric shapes creating lots of interest. It's professionally presented in a simple black frame with beige matte. The piece has several labels on the reverse including the title block from the Kathryn Markel Gallery in New York City which reads 'Steven Sormon, Untitled Red, 1979.' This is a wonderful original piece great for any art collection.
Overall dimensions are 27-1/2" wide x 30" high x 1" deep.
