It has a recessed chrome paneled base. This is a very solidly built quality piece, possibly made by Interior Crafts. The fabric is ribbed with light beige and cream colors. The cushion covers are removable and have clips that attach them to elastic loops on the sofa frame so that they stay in place. Interesting shape that comes together in 3 pieces. See less
