jean paul gaultier specially designed the fabrics for the roche bobois 'mah jong' sofa. The gaultier mah jong pieces can be used in combination with other mah jong pieces such as the missoni or kenzo.
this sofa comes from a luxurious apartment in the 16th department of paris, france.
colours of the fabric: blue, purple, grey, off-white, ivory, pink, red and green. What appears to be black in the pictures is actually blue.
about the condition: very good but it has some large stains due to liquid spills such as coffee, soda or wine. But the cushions can be placed on the bottom in such a way that the bigger stains cannot be seen. The way the sofa is arranged in the pictures the large stains can't be seen at all, just some minor neglectable ones. The stains are photographed and highlighted in the pictures.

this listing includes:
- 10 seat cushions
- 3 straight backs (with movable top)
- 2 corner backs
- 4 pillows in different variaties (the two dark cushions are not from roche bobois but from volglio bene)

gaultiers vision:
when jean paul gaultier’s vision meets the creative savoir-faire of roche bobois, this gives rise to highly personal interpretations of the mah jong sofa. The french designer reinvents and transforms his own trademarks. A poetic, sophisticated and slightly offbeat collection that effortlessly connects the worlds of fashion and design and his own trademarks.

about the mah jong sofa:
designed by hans hopfer in 1971, the mah jong sofa is an iconic model of the roche bobois collection and offers total freedom of form and function. Each cushion is entirely made and sewn by hand in a dedicated workshop. From simple elements, stacked or juxtaposed, the mah jong allows for infinite compositions.
dressed in assertive fabrics, which match its design, the mah jong remains a reference of creativity and modularity. It is presented here in a combination of jean paul gaultier haute couture fabrics.
