Original pastel on paper by Henry Emil Salloch, also known as Heinz Emil
Salloch, the German-born American artist and graphic designer who emigrated to the United
States in 1937. This unframed work depicts an atmospheric, dramatic Southwestern desert landscape framed by sweeping mountain ranges. Signed at the bottom left and dated 1962.
The sheet measures approximately 20'' X 25''. Condition is vintage and unrestored, with overall good presentation. Sold unframed.
A strong example of Salloch’s mid-century landscape work, with fluid ink line and transparent
watercolor washes.
