While the exterior lid showcases a striking burl wood veneer panel with a classical profile medallion, the opened box reveals a beautifully contrasting interior. The inside of the hinged lid is lined with a cream-colored fabric panel adorned with a centrally printed blue hyacinth flower sprig and small floral corner accents. The upper storage compartment is partitioned into four distinct wooden organizational sections, situated directly above a single pull-out lower drawer. This stepped rectangular oak body rests on a prominent black, ebonized base that is ornately decorated with a continuous, gold-toned Greek key (meander) geometric border, seamlessly tying together its historical aesthetic and functional design.

The back of the box showcase highly ornate neoclassical marquetry panel inlaid across the back over a contrasting burl wood veneer background. At the exact center of this panel is a detailed heraldic crest or coat of arms shield, which is flanked symmetrically by two mythical winged creatures, resembling stylized sea monsters or griffins. These figures seamlessly blend into elaborate, flowing acanthus leaf scrolls, floral rosettes, and delicate vine tendrils that span the length of the panel.

The sides are each highlighted by a prominent neoclassical marquetry panel. This decorative panel showcases a highly detailed, gold-toned classical urn or amphora at its center, flanked by symmetrical, flowing acanthus leaf scrolls and delicate vine tendrils set against a contrasting burl wood background.
