Standing 60 cm tall and 42 cm in diameter, and with its exceptionally thick walls and weight, this large-format piece possesses a commanding sculptural presence.

The reduction glaze, typical of Uhlemeyer's work, is particularly fascinating. In contrast to his often vibrant red or green tones, this piece displays a rare, unusually light, nuanced palette of cream, beige, and taupe with a hint of purple, reminiscent of natural rock or mineral structures.

The delicate, net-like structures emerge in the darker glaze areas and are a characteristic feature of this elaborate firing technique. Depending on the angle of the light, the glossy, cloudy glaze unfolds an impressive, almost natural vibrancy.
