Welsh Blanket Series
They’re linked to my growing up in a home where my mum was always hunting out antiques and selling on o dealers. Then she became interested in Welsh quilts and would buy them, along with linens and Welsh tapestry blankets. She’d take them up to Alfie’s market and Judy Greenwood in the Kings Road. Later I became involved in this, even as a young teenager and developed an appreciation for them from a dealer in Llandybyther who would then send them onto America (Jen Jones) she’s a fascinating woman and still involved in it.
Anyway – a very long story , the people in the beds are people who have had an effect on me , people I have admired in varying ways – they have spoken their truths, and created legacies worthy of remembering (not very eloquently worded but you may get my drift)
