A large French art deco hanging fixture in wrought iron with a nice Schneider Le Verre Français bowl in frosted clear glass that fades salmon coloured towards the rim. A heavy shade with two very thick glass bands. This model was designed by Charles Schneider around 1928-1930. The bowl is signed Schneider. I show a picture from the standard book Charles Schneider, le Verre Français - Charder - Schneider by Joulin and Maier page 330. In one of my other ads you can see an identical model pendant light with a blue bowl.

The beautiful shade is held by the original Schneider fixture in wrought iron. Schneider employed a blacksmith and had his own forge on his compound in Epinay France. Where wrought iron mounts for vases were made as well as fixtures for night lamps perfume burners and chandeliers. The typical shape of the Schneider forged iron pieces is easy to recognize.
The pendant light has a total height of 33,86 inches 86cm and the glass bowl has a diameter of 19,88 inches 50,5 cm. Contact me if you want the chandelier to have another height. The pendant is in excellent condition. The shade is without chips or cracks. And the iron mount has a nice patina. It is rewired with six American candelabra base sockets.
