This example carries the form through in solid oak, with turned baluster legs and a box stretcher base joined in the tradition of William & Mary period furniture, though the piece shows enough handling and refinishing over time that we're not dating it to that period specifically. Both leaves drop independently, swinging the oval top from a compact 41" x 21" closed profile to a full 57" x 41" open surface — enough to seat four to six depending on placement. A single drawer sits in the apron on turned wood pulls, running smoothly on its original wood runners. The oak has darkened into a deep brown patina with visible grain and surface wear consistent with generations of use, particularly along the tabletop edges where handling has worn through to lighter wood in places.

This is a piece built to be used daily rather than displayed — a console against a wall with both leaves down, opened fully for a dinner party, or kept as a permanent dining table in a smaller space.
