Hand-carved in the style of Black Forest, these French oak panels date to the late 1800s. Both rectangular panels have thick edges of spiral lobes and leaf tips, a motif that is repeated on the oval molding that surrounds the hunt trophies. One panel has a felled rabbit, while the other depicts a stag, both presented with various accoutrements of hunting and nature, such as rifles, gun powder flasks, and branches of oak and laurel leaves.
