It features a glassed display case with elegant arched doors and an ample storage area with solid wooden doors mimicking the same elegant arch. Don't miss the gentle mahogany grain pattern on the front of the doors. There are two drawers that provide a little more storage with a beveled edge that frames each drawer with its original hardware. There is also a key that comes with this piece that locks the top and bottom cases. The sharp, hand dovetailing indicates this piece dates to the mid-1800s. The shelves are fully adjustable. This piece is in remarkable shape for its age. It has the patina that only comes with time.
This is a traditional piece that can go where needed - in a library as a bookcase, in a dining room to display china and store serving pieces, in a large bathroom to function as a closet displaying folded towels and hiding cleaning supplies.
