An exceptional signed limited-edition lithograph by internationally acclaimed Austrian-Israeli artist Yosl Bergner (1920–2017), one of the most celebrated figurative expressionists of the twentieth century.
This striking composition exemplifies Bergner's unmistakable visual language, combining expressive gestural forms, layered abstraction, and symbolic figures rendered in dramatic contrasts of deep blue, black, white, muted beige, olive green, and warm peach. The work possesses the emotional intensity and theatrical quality for which Bergner's prints and paintings are widely recognized.
The lithograph is hand pencil signed by the artist in the lower right and numbered 20/135 in pencil. An embossed Hebrew publisher's blindstamp is present in the lower left margin adjacent to the edition number, providing an additional hallmark of authenticity and professional publication.
Professionally custom matted, glazed, and framed in a refined metallic frame, the artwork is immediately ready for display. The neutral presentation complements both contemporary and traditional interiors while allowing the powerful imagery to remain the focal point.
Yosl Bergner's works are represented in major museum and institutional collections throughout Israel, Australia, and internationally. His limited-edition lithographs continue to be sought after by collectors of post-war, Israeli, and modern figurative art.
A sophisticated gallery-quality work that would make an impressive addition to a fine art collection or professionally designed interior.
