It is a 4 page decorative arts catalog that dates to 1900. It features a 3-day sale in February. This brochure was sent to the high society clientele by Au Louvre, Grands Magasins (1855-1974). It highlights luxury products such as gloves, lacework, flowers and perfume. Au Louvre was what we would call a "boutique" store within the larger department store of the Grands Magasins. The French used acclaimed artists to promote their luxury products. Marc-Luc was an Art Deco artist of the time who worked with Parisian fashion houses such as that of the master, Paul Poiret. The Asian influence on art and design at the time is evident. The intricate detailing, the soft color tones and femine beauty are most exquisite. This cover art print is in pristine condition. I have kept the integrity of the 4 pages of the catolog intact, showing all 4 full pages. This is a collector's piece of ephemera and at the same time it makes for wonderful wall art.
