Hubens & Degué
A French art deco flush mount by Francis Hubens, crafted circa 1930. The well-known manufactory Etablissements Hubens produced bronze and wrought iron lighting fixtures during the interbellum at 68 rue des Archives in Paris. The nickel plated bronze or solid brass mounting holds a Degué bowl model number 544. The ceiling light has a maximum diameter of 41 cm (16,1 inches) and it is 11,9 cm (4,7") high. The Degué shade is 35 cm in diameter (13,78 inches). The shade is signed Degué and the mount shows the foundry mark FH for Hubens. The flush mount is in very good condition. I re-nickeled and patinated the mount and it is rewired with an American standard socket.
