Circa Late 19th Century. … Read more This is a Great Looking and Very Unusual Antique Original Matching 3 Piece Gentleman's Smoking Set. Circa Late 19th Century. The Set Includes the Large Pipe Tobacco Humidor, a Medium Size Cup that was Made to Hold "Cheroots" ( Small Type of Cigar ) and a Small Stick Match Holder. It is Signed with the Documented Maker Mark "F & B" - FOSTER & BAILY in Providence Rhode Island. Note that This Particular Mark was Used from 1877 to 1898. It is Rendered in he "Mixed Metal" Style - Completely Hand Made out of Solid Bronze with Solid Sterling Silver Mounts - Embellishments to the Exterior. It Displays Very Fine Quality and Attention to Detail in its Features. NOTE That the Humidor Itself is Heavy - Substantially Made Weighing Slightly Over 3 Pounds!. All Three Pieces have Fancy Hand Engraved Monograms to the Sterling Silver - Those Most Certainly of the Original Owner. The Set is in Very Nice All Original Condition. Note that it is Tarnished but it will Surely Polish Up Beautifully. Very Minor Imperfection Noted - a Small Dent in the Lid Top Silver Handle.
