Donna Paris
A pair of French art deco lamps made around 1925-1935 by les établissements Donna. The nickel-plated bronze or solid brass bases hold signed shades in frosted molded pressed glass. In a delicate bluish grey colour.
Les etablissements DONNA was a large lighting firm in Paris with 4 shops all over town and its factories in the Parisian suburb Nogent sur Marne. They had several models shades specially made for them signed Donna Paris. It is unknown at which glass factory Donna ordered these shades. Probably Muller frères or EJG. Certain however is that they are of an outstanding quality and beautiful design.
The lamps are 9,76 inches (24,8 cm) high. And the shades are 3,8 inches (9,7 cm) wide. The lamps are in very good condition. The bases have their original nickel plating with a nice patina and only minimal signs of wear. The lamps are rewired with new twisted rayon covered cord, new plugs and switches. I placed American candelabra base sockets and US 2-prong plugs.
Shipping to the USA: I send my parcels with Dutch post PostNL - incoterm DDP (delivered duty paid) so no additional duties or tariffs for the receiver. Parcels are distributed in the States by USPS.
