Beautiful sketch of paint, achieving a range of project, revealing a composition called "on board". It's so named because it is the one that is closest to the compositions of large paintings. The scene occupies the entirety of the sheet and the figures are so often distributed on a tripartite basis.
The focal point in the center of the sheet, there is shown the main group, developing therefore a hierarchy with groups or characters placed laterally.
Its frame is wood with gold leaf.

The scene takes place outdoors, there is the presence of vegetation abundance along the scene. This arrangement gives the impression that the figures are in a clearing as can be seen.
In the eighteenth century, the range can be considered as a true miniature and portable table that is publicly exposed.
The composition and subjects represented on the fan leaves were indeed the subject of attentive care, reflecting the tastes of the time, while their horses, similar to frameworks to highlight them, were carved often in precious materials.
Given its semi-circular shape, a fan paint sheet prove particularly complex because not only its opening draws an arc, but the sheet which constitutes it is further recessed from its lower portion to form the throat of the range.
The painters fans should therefore provide a specific effort to adapt their compositions to this space.
During the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, painters working in the workshop and each performs a task corresponding to his talent, therefore anonymity in order.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
