The heraldic design, layered carving, and warm, timeworn gilding give the piece a sculptural presence that feels equally at home in traditional interiors and more collected, contemporary spaces.

The original finish shows decades of honest wear, with areas of exposed gesso, age related surface losses, and old repairs that speak to its history rather than detract from it. The softly aged gilding has developed a depth and patina that only comes with time.

Perfect above a console, in an entryway, layered into a gallery wall, or displayed as a decorative object in its own right.

Late 19th century.

Condition: Good antique condition consistent with age. Original gilded surface with expected wear, scattered losses to the gesso and gilding, and stable historic repairs throughout the frame. Mirror plate shows age appropriate wear. See less
