A striking piece of postmodern glamour, this oval coffee table features a sculptural chrome base built from interlocking circular rings — a design language closely associated with Paul Mayen's iconic Intrex/Habitat ring-form furniture for Del Rey and Habitat International. Two smoked glass shelves nest inside the chrome rings at the base, echoing the oval smoked glass top above — a more complete configuration than the base-only version of this design.
The tubular chrome is in excellent, bright condition with no pitting, and all glass is original with clean, unchipped edges. The interlocking ring construction isn't just decorative — it doubles as functional lower storage/display shelving, perfect for books,bar ware or objects.
