A Nantucket Beach
Beautiful 1970s/80s era original oil on canvas in a very fine gallery presentation.
9" wide by 7" tall and 1.5" deep - with linen lining and highly detailed gilt wood molding.
Artist signed in lower left, with provenance on reverse, including a 1984 date
and Washington, D.C. gallery reference.
And, as is often the case with a truly fine paintings, the clouds and the figures are incredible!
Subtle, while still being bright and lively, with a very delicate touch. Even the sailboat in the far ground is just barely there...spectacular.
Lemon yellow, white, sky blue, pink and coral, lovely green...just a wonderful palate.
In keeping with Aesop's fable, Fox and Crow's Motto is "Beware of False Flattery!" So, with each listing we offer a true confession about the item...
