This exquisite 12-inch sculpture is entirely rigid, solid, and structurally sound, with absolutely no loose movement or play at the joints or where the figure anchors to the base. The original, historic dark chocolate-brown patina is beautifully preserved, exhibiting only minor, gentle thinning along the highest-relief edges of the flowing drapery, completely consistent with its late 19th-century age.On the dancer's lower arm/wrist, there is a fine, fully stable surface hairline cooling line. This is a localized manufacturing anomaly from the original late Victorian foundry pouring process over a century ago. It is completely frozen in time with zero movement or structural risk. It is a definitive birthmark of historic hand-casting methods, not a modern fracture, damage, or repair. The premium red Griotte marble plinth remains sturdy and structurally intact, and the original brass nameplate is firmly secured by its historic rivets. less
