Classic Hitchcock deacon's bench with stained maple seat and Harvest stenciling, bought new in the early 1970s and owned by only 1 family. It's main functions were decor and auxiliary seating for family gatherings. There are minor scrapes and chips along the top and back of the top rail, but these could be effectively hidden by black touchup paint. Otherwise, the overall appearance is excellent and there are no structural issues.
If you want it, a green corduroy seat pad from the Vermont Country Store) will be included at no charge. It’s about 20 years old but is still very comfortable and looks good aside from some fading on one side.
