This ornate repoussé floral decoration and Rococo styling creates an elegant design on this silver water pitcher. W. Gale & Sons was considered one of New York City's premier silver manufacturers as evident in this beautiful piece.
Mid-19th century silver pieces were not typically marked Sterling but rather only with the maker's mark as evident on this water pitcher. Dating back to the 1850's, we are transformed back in time where sophistication and refined presentation at the dinner table was customary.
