Exceptional Mid-Century Modern Czech art glass vase, attributed to renowned designer František Vízner for Škrdlovice Glassworks, Czechoslovakia, circa 1973. Model 7342.
This elegant sculptural vase features a square-shouldered body with finely modeled horizontal linear ribs, executed in rich smoked amber glass with a beautifully tapering clear glass neck. The minimalist architectural form is characteristic of Vízner’s celebrated early 1970s production for Škrdlovice.
The vase is unsigned, as expected for many Škrdlovice production pieces of this period.
