The understated, mineral-inspired decoration combines a slightly satin-finished off-white glaze with a striking flow of brown-black and olive glaze, evoking a landscape or abstract calligraphy. The surface is enlivened by fine horizontal striations left by the throwing process, which enhance the piece's handcrafted character. The base reveals the unglazed natural stoneware, highlighting the quality of the firing.
