These historic pieces feature three drawers on the front: the first is positioned in the curved groove under the top, while the other two, larger, are equipped with a concealed chain. The surface is embellished with a walnut burl veneer, with walnut borders arranged in a herringbone pattern on the top and sides, creating a refined interplay of visual contrasts. The carefully carved moldings are made of walnut, while the interiors are constructed of pine and poplar, combining strength and lightness. The bronze handles are a later addition. The wrought iron locks are contemporary. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
