These textiles were Collected by a Husband and Wife around 1970-80's. They are very elderly and we were blessed to meet them and acquire this collection. I recently acquired this rug from them in Pasadena, CA. The wife stated that she purchased this rug at an antique shop in the MAINE/NEW ENGLAND area sometime during the 1970s. She and her husband took annual trips to the area and bought several AMERICAN FOLK ART hooked rugs during that period.
