This authentic antique features a beautifully figured mahogany top flanked by two drop leaves that open to form a oval. The edges are finished with delicate stringing inlay and a crossbanded border.

The bow-front apron features a single drawer exhibiting excellent hand-cut dovetail joints and early brass ring pulls on one side and a faux drawer on the other. The table is supported by elegant, slender tapered square legs terminating in brass cap casters. Each drop leaf rest on two wooden swing-out supports.

A gorgeous piece of period furniture showing stunning wood graining, excellent patina, hand-planed secondary surfaces, and the robust construction expected of late Georgian cabinetmaking.
