Multiple white columns descend vertically across a sky blue silk ground, each one narrowing into a fine drip before opening into arched forms at the lower half of the face. No single focal point dominates; instead the pattern repeats across the full width in a rhythmic, almost architectural sequence. Closer up, the soft bleed of the resist-dyed threads gives each column a feathered, hand-made edge that no mechanical process produces.
Size: 16 x 16 inches / 40 x 40 cm. Cover only, insert not included.
Handwoven from silk threads bound and dyed before weaving, so the column forms and arched motifs emerge directly from yarn alignment during the weaving process. Not printed; the pattern is woven directly into the fabric structure. Vertical bleed lines and feathered edges are inherent to the ikat technique and vary slightly across the face.
